Unbeaten trophy win
We started slowly conceding within the first couple of minutes, but once the midfield got involved we ran out comfortable winners with goals from Alfie, Thomas from a Riley square ball, an Emilis chip and Riley following up his own saved shot. Brunswick went on to become beaten trophy semi finalists.
Larkspur B 3-0
We cruised to victory with goals from Brihad and two from Riley one from right out on the wing.
Ruislip Rangers D 5-1
Alfie scored with a cross shot, Riley squared to Emilis who converted, Riley added a third from outside the box, Brihad scored a volley and Alfie scored at the second attempt.
Ickenham B 1-0
We scored late on in this close game Riley crashing a shot in off the bar. Unfortunately for Ickenham this late goal meant they finished third and headed to the plate instead of the trophy.
Semi Final - Brookhouse A 0-0 (3-2 on penalties)
Brookhouse currently play two leagues above us, but this was a close game and although both teams created chances no one was able to score. In the penalty shoot out Chris and Riley converted confidently and when they missed their third penalty Brihad stepped up with a shot to win, but he hit it too straight. Brookhouse missed their fourth penalty and Emilis stepped up to score and send us through to the trophy final. Much to the disgust of the Brookhouse keeper who launched the match ball 40 yards, he saved one out of four but had bragged he would stop them all before the shoot out.
Final - LNER 1-1 ( 2-1 on penalties)
LNER are from the league above us and took a lead in the first half, but we then scored a fantastic equaliser, Thomas sprinted into their area played a one two with Emilis and slotted the ball low in the left corner, beating the keeper at his near post by taking the shot so early. In the penalty shoot out Sam was the hero saving two penalties, meaning Chris and Riley's converted spot kicks were enough to win the trophy final without us needing to take a third.
