The best way to keep up to date with Wealdstone Youth FC

Under 7 White - Match centre

Parkfield Youth A
Wealdstone Youth FC
Sun 26 Feb TBC - Friendly Full time

Great game from the boys as they seal a fine win against a very good Parkfield team

Lapse 5 minutes nearly cost the boys but effort, quality and class get them the win against a side previously unbeaten.

Today we played Parkfield A who we have played several times and always is a close one.

The boys were at it from the start and played some good football from the KO. The game was end to end with Wealdstone getting the better of the chances but no goal. Finally after some lovely skill from Amari on the touch line he cut it back for Spencer to rifle it into the roof of the net for 1-0. 2 more goals from Amari saw it 3-0 and the boys were cruising, then came the lapse 5-10 minutes when Parkfield pulled back 3 goals to make it 3-3. Surely we could'nt lose this game after being 3 up and playing so well.
As we have seen time and time again with this team they NEVER give up and after a superb save from Caden to keep Parkfield from taking the lead. He kicked it long and the defender mistimed the bounce allowing Kallum in to hit it on the half volley to put Wealdstone back in front and another goal by Amari on the break completing his hat trick gave the boys a deserved victory.
You could argue that Parkfield did pass it better throughout the whole game but they lacked our desire, intensity and will to win. The boys did play some good team football and the more they start playing as a team the more unstoppable they will become.
All the boys showed there strengths today, Caden in goal made several good saves today in particular the one to keep it 3-3 and also got an assist for Kallum goal with his kick out. At the back George and Ashton were awesome tacking hard and setting up attacks. Breaking out with the ball. Not many teams will get past these 2. Kallum also played his part in defence but was really good going forward spotting passes and very unselfish in his play. Brooklyn really showed another side to his game with some tough tackling alongside his quick feet. He also sacrificed a few minutes game time to allow Ashton back on to sure up the defence for the end of the game. Spencer also battled hard, scored a cracker and never gave up. Finally Amari a hatrick and an assist what more can you say..............

Great performance all round!
