A 5 Star Whites Performance Sees Off a Spirited Harrow

This was the beautiful game played in a beautiful way!
The smiles on the lads faces at the end of the match, the loud cheers from the parents and the applause from the opposition parent told the story of today's game. The boys were in scintillating form today.
It was a big clash, both teams on a 100% win record for the season, one had to go! This was the scene of our last taste of defeat before the season started and the lads were extremely determined to avenge that defeat. This was an assured and confident display which was typified by the move below for the final goal:
Superb. Superb move. Vlad makes a brilliant save, rolls the ball to Bobby. We just hold onto the ball for such a long time Bobby showing confidence. Probing, waiting. Patience. Eventually Ed senses the moment and drives forward, Jayden makes the run between the defenders, and Ed slides the ball into the space. Jayden looks to see if he can shoot, but realises no, so he sends the ball to the left wing, where Darren is in perfect position. Time, composure, a measured cross. Defence has been pulled all over the place. Ed has continued his run, he is isolated in the area, the ball finds him and he has time to pick his finish. Game over.
That's 9 straight league games wins but for me its not the result that matters most: Its the way we play. Its seeing these boys develop their game, Its the camaraderie which they showed with subs cheering their teammates on. It is the maturity the boys show when behind in a game. Its seeing the relationships that boys are forming. It is exactly that that makes me proud to be the coach of these fine young lads.
