Panthera vs Wealdstone U10 Red
Good team performance from Wealdstone
Panthera are a very good team who play a good passing and moving game, they can also mix it physically. The previous match with them this season ended with Wealdstone getting the win but Panthera spent long periods of the game on top and could easily have equalised or gone one to win the game. This game was going to be a real test following our poor results over the previous three games. Panthera play at Barnet FC who have really good facilities and even with the heavy rain over the past week the pitch was in really good condition. The day was clear and dry but very cold with a strong wind which made it feel even colder.

Good work by Harry on the left, he passed it to Zach who played it to Oliver but his shot was saved. Harry with a corner which was knocked out to Connor but his first time shot went wide. Good pressure by Harry and Alfie which resulted in a shot which was blocked. Panthera with a quick break and shot which went in (2-0). Good passing between Alfie and Oliver who played a ball through to Harry whose shot was well saved. Half Time.

Zach with a good ball to Alfie who saw his shot saved. Alex with a good run on the right and shot which glanced off the post. Panthera with a cross and shot which went wide. Wealdstone with good pressure up the pitch and the ball broke to Zach who shot but the ball hit the post. Zach with the ball on the left and played a ball through to Alfie in front of goal who finished calmly (2-1). Good pressure by Wealdstone the ball came to Alex who drove forward and played the ball to the far post and Harry was there to make sure it went in (2-2). Panthera with a shot from long range which went wide. Full time.
The match was a very good match with Wealdstone out-playing Panthera for the majority of the match. In the first half Panthera managed just two shots on goal and scored from them both, Wealdstone created chances throughout the first half and continued this through to the second half. The team had another one of those games where we just didn’t seem to get the ball in the goal. We found ourselves hitting the post or the ball was not quite sitting right to get a good shot off. Wealdstone were passing well and played together as a team, if they continue this way it will eventually all click into place and we will get some really good results.
