By Aidan King
Another very close win to keep the pulses racing
It had been 18 months since we last played Hendon as they had been dropped into the second league after the U7 season, this had been a bit of a relief as our last encounter with them had ended with a bit of an argument. The weather was slightly overcast but when the clouds broke the weather was quite warm, the kick off was 12.30 which meant that we all had a good lie in. We were all generally looking forward to the game as an opportunity to continue our winning start to the season.

The match was a very close match which was well fought on both sides, the lead kept changing hands throughout the match. Hendon had two very good players who played for the whole match and looked dangerous every time they got the ball. Wealdstone once again showed real determination and kept on going right through to the final whistle. The team played well as a team and there were some really good passing combinations throughout the match, with as many as six players touching the ball. Another good point to make is that we have scored nine goals this season and all nine have come from different goal scorers, so a real team effort (eight Wealdstone scorers and one Hendon OG).
