The best way to keep up to date with Wealdstone Youth FC

New Wealdstone Youth FC Home Ground

10 months ago By Rob Davies

Wealdstone Youth FC Chairman, Jason Hunter, announces the great news that the club has been assigned a new home ground for the coming season

On Behalf of Wealdstone Youth FC I am pleased to announce that we have secured an agreement from Hillingdon Council to have the football pitches on New Pond fields, (Sidmouth Drive opposite Ruislip High school) for our EXCLUSIVE use. The start date of this agreement will be 16th September 2017.

This follows a request for assistance and a very productive meeting with the Manor ward councillors, (Cllrs Markham, Mills & O'Brien).

The pitches will be set out to accommodate football in the following formats; 5v5, 7v7, 9v9, Intermediate and Full size this will enable football to be played locally for children of every age group in our community. This opportunity allows us to continue to offer both coaching and games as we have done since our beginning at the Grosvenor Vale site.

We are very proud of our heritage and our affiliation to the Wealdstone FC senior side, it is the closest location to Wealdstone FC where we still have use of the club house and can watch the mighty Stones play!!

We are extremely pleased with this offer and grateful to our local councillors in enabling this to happen. The Council has also assisted the previous users of the pitches at New Ponds so everyone wins from this new arrangement, I would like to give thanks to all who made this possible;

Manor Ward councillors
Michael Markham
Douglas Mills
Susan O’Brien

Hillingdon Green Spaces, Sports & Culture
Paul Richards (Head)
Adrian Batten (Manager)

I would also like to give thanks to the Wealdstone Youth Committee and of course to all the Managers, Coaches, Players, Parents and Carers for your patience.

I look forward to seeing you all soon and cannot wait to see the pitches at New Ponds filled with our famous blue and white quarters and watching our fantastic club grow at our new home ground.

Kind Regards

Jason Hunter
